Our Legacy of Excellence in Pest Control

About Us

Since 1946, we’ve been dedicated to safeguarding homes and businesses from pests, combining decades of experience with a commitment to quality and ethical practices.

Joseph J. Mooney

Joseph J. Mooney, a WWII veteran, founded Columbus Pest Control in 1946. Leveraging his military experience, Joe established a reputable business that quickly became a cornerstone in pest management. His leadership in the National and Ohio Pest Control Associations set industry standards still in use today.

A Family-Owned Tradition

For three generations, Columbus Pest Control has been a family-owned business dedicated to providing effective and ethical pest control services. From Joe Mooney’s founding vision to Orlando Alonso’s leadership,  Lonnie Alonso’s stewardship and now operated by Brian and Andrew Alonso. Our family continues to uphold the values of trust, excellence, and community involvement.

Our Community Commitment

Supporting Local Organizations and Projects

At Columbus Pest Control, we believe in giving back to the community that has supported us for generations. Our family is actively involved in various local organizations and projects, demonstrating our dedication to making a positive impact. We proudly support the Ohio Special Olympics, providing opportunities for athletes with intellectual disabilities to compete and thrive. We also contribute to the Ohio English Setter Rescue Organization, helping to rescue and rehome dogs in need. Our involvement with Pilot Dogs assists in training guide dogs for the visually impaired, enhancing their independence and quality of life. Additionally, we support the Boy Scouts of America – Simon Kenton Council, fostering leadership and community service among young people. Through Honor Flight, we honor our veterans by helping them visit the memorials dedicated to their service and sacrifice. The Alonso family has also personally rescued, fostered, and adopted over 25 dogs, primarily English Setters, finding them loving forever homes. Our commitment to these causes reflects our core values of service, compassion, and community engagement.
